A Rebrand and Renovation in River West

Daniel Management Group acquired Linkt, an apartment building in the Chicago neighborhood  of River West in 2024.

It is comprised of 47 units apartments and two commercial spaces.  The apartments consist of a range of studio, one-, two- and three bedroom floor plans each thoughtfully designed for modern living. Over the last year, DMG oversaw the completion of a number of impactful renovations and rebrand throughout Verdant. The primary renovation upgrades were in the following spaces: Lobby, Fitness Center and Outdoor Green Space/ Terrace.  The rebrand led to an update of all signage, website, etc. Check out an in-depth look at the rebrand/ renovation here.

The lobby was rehabbed with fresh paint, new lighting, updated furniture, and the removal of outdated block-style wall features. We also added a signature scent, soft background music, and window decals to the entrance doors. Small accent pieces were added to give the space more character and a welcoming feel.

The fitness center underwent a significant transformation. We installed an extensive shelving feature, added a bottle-filling water station (similar to those found in modern gyms), repainted the entire space, and installed a ballet barre for versatility in workouts. We incorporated small artwork for added personality, and renovated the adjacent gym bathroom, adding a new mirror, paint, and functional furniture. This space also received its own signature scent.

We upgraded all lighting throughout the property with energy-efficient LED fixtures, including in the garage, where residents had previously expressed concerns about dimness. Since the update, we’ve received great feedback on the improved brightness and safety. We also installed EV charging stations in the garage to better support our electric vehicle–owning residents.

On the terrace we installed new furniture, planters, greenery, and fun, ambient lighting to make it a social and relaxing space.

In addition to common areas, we’ve been renovating individual units as they become vacant. These updates vary by unit but may include refreshed white cabinetry, new bedroom lighting, backsplashes, updated hardware, and modern blinds.
